US Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited Israel for the third time since the beginning of the conflicts in Israel and Palestine. Holding a private meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the war cabinet, Blinken came together with Israeli President Isaac Herzog. The two made statements about taking Israeli hostages back and providing aid to Palestinian civilians.

According to Herzog, the Israeli attacks, which claimed the lives of numerous Palestinians, were in accordance with international law as they warned Palestinians in Gaza with leaflets, text messages, and phone calls to leave the region before the attacks.

UN Declares Famine in Gaza

The UN Integrated Food Security Stage Classification (IPC) officially declared a famine in Gaza City and surrounding areas, warning that over 500,000 people face “catastrophic” conditions. Another 1.7 million are in emergency levels, with nearly all agriculture destroyed and food access critically restricted since March.

UN officials said the famine is “entirely man-made” and blamed Israel’s obstruction of aid deliveries. Human rights chief Volker Türk warned that deaths from starvation may constitute war crimes. Israel rejected the report, calling it based on “Hamas’s lies.”
