In Edirne, Türkiye, a dramatic incident unfolded as police pursued a panel van driven by a suspected immigrant smuggler who refused to stop. The van lost control and crashed into the garden of Çakır Ağa Mosque, narrowly avoiding a collision with another vehicle. Both drivers were unhurt and later arrested by the police. During the event, a separate police chase led to the apprehension of nine illegal immigrants. Surveillance cameras captured the entire incident, including the van’s collision with the mosque. Some of the detainees admitted to their involvement in immigrant smuggling and were caught trying to flee after dropping off immigrants in the city center.
