In the Mexican state of Chiapas, on the border with Guatemala, 4 people died and 20 were injured after a pickup truck carrying illegal immigrants crashed. A large number of ambulances were sent to the scene, and the injured were taken to the hospital. Witness said that the pickup truck came at excessive speed and crashed into his own vehicle as a result of brake failure.

Security forces announced that the driver of the pickup truck fled the scene after the accident. A search has been launched for the driver and his collaborators accused of human trafficking.
