Lightning lit up the sky before a nighttime downpour in the Kadirli district of Osmaniye, Turkey. A camera captured the lightning strike in a region near the district center. Following the lightning strike, a small forest fire broke out. The fire was quickly put out.
Excavator Operator Waits 27 Days to Protect Dove Nest in Hatay
In Hatay, Türkiye, excavator operator Bülent Kuyucu paused work for 27 days to protect a dove’s nest on his machine. Kuyucu did not work to avoid disturbing the birds until the dove chicks safely flew away.
Kuyucu said he accepted the financial loss but was happy to see the doves leave unharmed.
