Vucic Says Serbia “Too Small To Threaten Türkiye”

President Aleksandar Vučić defended his ties with Türkiye amid tensions over recent Turkish arms deliveries to Kosovo, saying Serbia is “too small to threaten Türkiye” and calling President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan “the greatest Turkish leader after Mustafa Kemal Pasha.” Vučić said that arming Kosovo runs against Serbian interests and said he will raise the issue directly with Erdoğan. He listed Turkish-supplied systems to Pristina, including Skydagger kamikaze drones, Bayraktar drones, and armored vehicles and urged Ankara to consider Belgrade’s security concerns. Vučić stressed he values close relations with Türkiye but insisted he cannot ignore Kosovo’s militarization while defending Serbian citizens.
