A waterspout appeared off the coast of İskenderun district of Kahramanmaraş, which is one of the most affected areas by the earthquakes that occurred Türkiye on February 6. The waterspout continued for a short time and caused panic among citizens. The waterspout did not reach the land and caused no damage.

On the final day of the Eid al-Adha holiday, traffic came to a standstill at the Kocaeli crossing of the Northern Marmara Highway as thousands began returning to Istanbul.
Congestion intensified due to occasional accidents and vehicle breakdowns. Gendarmerie and highway crews are working continuously to keep traffic flowing. Aerial footage showed long lines of vehicles stretching along the route.
