Fireworks caused a fire in a wedding hall in the Hamdaniye district of Mosul, Iraq. According to preliminary findings, 115 people died, and at least 200 others were injured. Multiple fire brigades from Mosul and Erbil were dispatched to the scene and successfully extinguished the fire.
The Iraq Civil Defense General Directorate stated that the fire rapidly spread due to negligence and a lack of safety measures.
