A fire in the Malkara district of Tekirdağ, Turkey, destroyed nearly 300 acres of wheat fields. The spark that erupted from the breaking of the electrical wires that ran through the field spread in an instant due to the wind’s effect.
A passenger driving by the fields on the road noticed the fire and called for help. Firefighters and construction equipment were dispatched to the scene. Especially after the great effort of the construction equipment, the flames were prevented from growing.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
