A citizen in Türkiye’s Bolu province informed the authorities after noticing a wild horse sinking in a manure pile. The firefighters arrived at the location within 20 minutes and attempted to rescue the animal but failed due to a lack of appropriate equipment. Eventually, the firefighters managed to free the horse with the help of a construction machine that they had requested from the municipality’s authorities.
Located in Adana’s Ceyhan district, the medieval Yılankale castle continues to captivate visitors with its architectural grandeur and rich legends. Built by King Levon I during the Cilician Kingdom, the castle was once a military headquarters. Locals link the site to the mythical creature Şahmeran, and stories say snake trainers or serpent-shaped walls gave Yılankale its name. According to historian Ahmet Karataş, the castle secured key trade routes and still stands as a symbol of regional heritage.
