wildfires in california pose threat to coastal houses

Wildfire broke out in two different regions in the US state of California. Evacuation orders were issued in many areas due to fires caused by high temperatures and Santa Ana winds. The fire in Laguna Beach, Orange County, also known as the “Emerald,” did not cause any material damage, according to officials. “The fact that evacuation orders have been lifted does not mean we are completely safe. Temperatures will be high this week and strong winds are possible. There is favorable weather for the fire and it will continue throughout the week,” said Mike Garcia, Laguna Beach Fire Chief. He stated that the Emerald fire had burned 145 acres and that the flames were 20 percent contained as of last night.

The second fire started in Whittier, Orange County. According to regional authorities, one person was slightly injured, two houses were burned, and one house was damaged in the fire. The first ‘Sycamore’ fire started near Sycamore Park and burned 7 acres of land.
