Woman Dies in Shark Attack in Mexico

A 26-year-old woman and her 5-year-old daughter were attacked by a shark while swimming 25 meters from the beach in the town of Melaque, in the Mexican state of Jalisco. The young child survived the incident uninjured, but the mother was bitten on the leg. Despite the fast intervention of people nearby, the young woman died from severe bleeding. Authorities have banned swimming in the area.
