While 500 women were given tickets to watch the football match at Azadi Stadium, the Iranian Ministry of Sports declared that women will be invited to other matches if the proper procedures were made.
In Iran, women were allowed to watch the national matches from the tribunes on occasion, but watching the Iran Pro league matches from the stadium was not allowed.
