The world-famous Konyaaltı Beach of Türkiye’s Antalya province remained empty due to temperatures above seasonal norms. Citizens and tourists, who saw that the thermometers showed 46 degrees, avoided being under the sun at noon and stayed at their homes or hotels.
“I came to Konyaaltı Beach 15 minutes ago, but could not stand the high temperature and I’m returning home,” said a local.
“We came from Kırşehir and had our grandchild’s wedding. They will spend their honeymoon here as well. Antalya is very hot, we are sitting under the tree. We come here during the day, eat, drink and chat. We love Antalya very much,” said Latife Köksal.
