World Leaders Address UN General Assembly

At the 80th UN General Assembly, French President Emmanuel Macron said France’s recognition of Palestine was part of a “credible peace plan” to end the Gaza war, secure hostages’ release, and preserve the two-state solution. He warned, “There will be no security or stability for Israel as long as it remains in a constant state of war with its neighbors.”

Macron urged stronger multilateralism, support for the ICC and ICJ, and action against impunity. He also backed Ukraine against Russia and said Syria must regain unity and sovereignty.

Polish President Karol Nawrocki called Russia’s aggression “a turning point for Europe and the world,” accusing Moscow of pursuing imperial ambitions. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun demanded an end to Israeli attacks and the withdrawal of occupying forces, stressing that Lebanon “lives in constant uncertainty.”
