A fire broke out in a workplace selling home textile products in Istanbul’s Beylikdüzü district. The flames lit up the sky as the fire spread to the entire building. The fire was put out with by firefighters after long extinguishing efforts. One person affected by the smoke was treated as an outpatient by the medical teams. The fire, which grew in a short time and spread to the entire building, left a great deal of material damage to the building. There were no injuries or casualties in the fire.
Excavator Operator Waits 27 Days to Protect Dove Nest in Hatay
In Hatay, Türkiye, excavator operator Bülent Kuyucu paused work for 27 days to protect a dove’s nest on his machine. Kuyucu did not work to avoid disturbing the birds until the dove chicks safely flew away.
Kuyucu said he accepted the financial loss but was happy to see the doves leave unharmed.
