WW2 bomb pulled out from a lake in Poland

On Monday, a diver come across an object similar to a bomb under the lake while diving in Jezioro Kierskie Lake near Chyby village in west of Poland for training purpose. After diver reported the incident, teams were deployed to scene and determined that the object found under lake is a bomb named SD 70 from World War 2 and made by Nazi Germany. Cylindrical shaped and approximately 1 meter long bomb unnoticed until Monday because of it was almost completely covered by clay after staying under water for a long time. Bomb disposal experts from the Polish 8th Coast Guard Squadron of Swinoujscie stepped in to pull out the bomb from the lake on account of the fact that it poses a danger to the local people who enter the lake to cool off in the summer. In their inspection, bomb expert divers decided that pull out and transport the bomb to save flora and fauna in lake and around it, and they determined that bomb is suitable for transportation to a range to be defused. Divers in the area, where a 200 meter security corridor was created with the help of the police, were able to pull out the 24 kilo weighted bomb from the lake safely. It’s been stated that bomb, which can be effective in 240 meter if it explodes, transported to a range in order to be defused.
