Yarmouk Refugee Camp Struggles Amid Devastation

Residents of Syria’s Yarmouk Refugee Camp, near Damascus, endure life without electricity, water, or basic necessities after years of siege and destruction.

Once home to thousands, the camp has been devastated since the 2013 blockade that cut off essential supplies, resulting in widespread hunger, disease, and loss of life. Although the siege has ended, the camp remains in ruins, reflecting the enduring scars of war.

Aerial footage highlights the camp’s dire state—darkened streets, children walking amidst rubble, and others playing with a makeshift ball, their resilience a stark contrast to the destruction surrounding them.
