1 died, 40 injured in the tornado disaster in Germany

The final situation getting worse in the tornado disaster that being effective in Germany’s most populous state North Rhine-Westphalia and country’s other regions. According to the police statement, approximately 40 people were injured, 10 of them seriously, in the city of Paderborn, which is most affected from the tornado. Also rail and road transport interrupted throughout the region. The roofs of some houses were blown off, while the windows of some other houses were broken. The trees also fell on to the road by the effect of the tornado. The bell tower of the St. Clement’s Catholic Church located in Hellinghausen in the city of Lippstadt, seen blown off by a tornado and parts of it were scattered in the churchyard. In addition to that, a 38-year-old man died as a result of an electric shock in the basement of his house in Wittgert, Rhineland-Palatinate, due to the flooding. The Germany’s National Meteorological Service stated that the speed of the wind reached up to 130 kilometers per hour in some areas in the country.
