Heavy rainfall over the weekend led to a devastating flood in Shulan, a city in the northeastern Jilin province of China. Local authorities have confirmed 14 fatalities, and one person is currently reported as missing. The torrential downpour has forced many residents to evacuate and has caused severe infrastructural damage. Rescue teams have been using helicopters to provide aid to the affected areas.

The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that Israel’s attacks on Gaza have killed 62,895 people and injured 158,927 since October 7, 2023. In the last 24 hours alone, 76 people were killed and 298 injured.
At aid distribution points, deaths have risen to 2,158, with nearly 16,000 wounded. The ministry also said 10 more civilians, including two children, died of starvation, bringing Gaza’s hunger-related death toll to 313.
