The 16 police officers who were abducted by an armed group on 27 June in Chiapas, Mexico, were freed and found near the facilities of the State Security Ministry. Their relatives greeted them with tears in their eyes.
After kidnapping the policemen from a police vehicle en route, the armed group demanded the resignation of some senior police officers, claiming that they were in cooperation with criminal organizations.
