161 Israeli reservists quit air force due to controversial judicial reform

One hundred and sixty-one reservists quit the Israeli Air Force in response to the controversial judicial reform in Israel. In a letter they published, the reservists stated that they were leaving their duties because the first reading of a key bill on controversial judicial reform had been passed by parliament. Their letter indicated that the bill could bring about a dictatorship in the country.

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of people took to the streets in many cities, especially in the capital, Tel Aviv. Nearly a thousand protesters against the judicial reform marched to the residence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem.
