Libya deports 165 Nigerian women who entered illegally. The Libyan Illegal Immigration Control Department announced the deportation of these women, with some being arrested during raids on their hiding places. Due to insecurity and chaos in Libya, many African immigrants attempt to reach Europe through the country.
In 2023, around 7,500 illegal immigrants have been rescued and returned to Libya, according to the International Organization for Migration.
