170-year-old historical mosque wasted in fire in Egypt

A fire broke out in the 170-year-old Hilal Bey Mosque, one of the most important archaeological mosques in Egypt’s Dekahliye province. The fire caused no casualties but completely destroyed the historical mosque. The fire is believed to have been triggered by a short circuit in the power lines. An investigation has been launched in the area.
