A clash happened after Israeli forces attacked Palestinian youth that gathered at the Damascus Gate area of Israeli occupied Jerusalem. The Palestinian Red Crescent announced that 19 Palestinians were injured and 10 were arrested in the clashes. Local press stated that Israeli forces have used rubber bullets and tear gas against the Palestinians during the incident. Also it was reported that the attack was carried out in order to disrupt the religious gatherings organized by the people of Jerusalem and those who come to visit the Al-Aqsa Mosque at the Damascus Gate square in the month of Ramadan every year.

Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara visited the International Monetary Fund (IMF) headquarters in Washington during his talks with US President Donald Trump. He was welcomed by IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva.
Georgieva said on social media, “It was a privilege to host President Al-Shara at the IMF. We discussed the economic transformation Syrians need and deserve, and I reiterated the IMF’s readiness to assist through technical support to key institutions.”
