A fire at an oil facility near Russia’s Irkutsk oblast killed 2 people and injured 4 others, according to Russian officials. The fire covered an area of 2,500 square meters, and the flames were brought under control after long efforts by the fire department, according to Irkutsk Governor Igor Kobzev.
An investigation is still underway regarding the incident.
Student-led protesters in Serbia have blockaded state broadcasters RTS and RTV, demanding management overhaul or complete shutdown due to alleged biased reporting. Tents were set up outside buildings in Belgrade and Novi Sad, blocking entry and disrupting broadcasts. RTS called the blockade illegal, while RTV’s head labeled it “terrorism.”
The protests follow a deadly building collapse in Novi Sad that killed 15 people in November 2024. Despite government reshuffles and resignations, demonstrations persist. President Aleksandar Vucic dismissed the unrest as a failed “color revolution.”
