Authorities have confirmed that 22 personnel lost their lives in a military helicopter crash yesterday in Pakistan’s Azad Kashmir region. The Mi-17 aircraft went down during takeoff in the regional capital of Muzaffarabad due to a reported technical malfunction. The victims, who included 19 soldiers, one major, and two colonels, were laid to rest today following official funeral ceremonies. Meanwhile, an investigative committee has been appointed to determine the exact cause of the fatal accident.
