The US Coast Guard and Bahamian forces rescued 397 migrants from a 15-meter boat drifting off the coast of Bahamas. The migrants were taken to Inagua Island, where they will go through certain processes before being sent back to Haiti.

Thousands of Haitians are leaving the country due to the increasing violence and the deepening political and economic crisis. Many of them have had a close brush with death in hopes of reaching Florida on unsafe boats. More than 2,000 Haitians have been captured since October.
