A 6-storey building, located in Kahramanmaraş Pazarcık district center, collapsed in the 7.7-magnitude earthquake that occurred in the morning. The Güneş family living in the building was trapped under the rubble. The mother, a teacher, sent a message to her coworkers at school asking for help.
Early in the morning, a mother, father, and son were rescued, but it was not easy to reach 5-year-old Ayşe Kübra Güneş. Teachers, medical teams, and the gendarmerie all assisted in locating her. The teams tried to keep calm by constantly talking to the little girl.
As a result of the efforts of the teams, little Ayşe was pulled out of the rubble 7 hours after the earthquake. After being rescued, the little girl was reunited with her father and taken by ambulance to the hospital.
