A 6.1 magnitude earthquake occurred at 05:00 pm local time in Sichuan Province, China. The China Earthquake Networks Center announced that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 17 kilometers below the ground near the Chinese city of Ya’an. No casualties have been reported in the earthquake so far.
