An unidentified male body was found on the beach of a hotel in Aksu district of Antalya province in Türkiye, increasing the number of bodies that have been found on beaches across the city since the beginning of the week to 6. The body, which was thought to have been in the water for a very long time, was taken to the morgue for identification.
The clothes of a female body found in the Serik district yesterday were said to be similar to the clothes of a woman who disappeared 17 days ago. A DNA sample was taken from her family for identification.
Authorities estimate that some of the previously found people might be those who lost their lives on a sinking illegal immigrant boat.
