Heavy rains caused floods in Tlemcen and El Bayadh provinces. Four people from Tlemcen province and three from El Bayadh province lost their lives in the floodwaters, and two were reported as missing, as well. Authorities initiated search and rescue efforts.

The Algerian Civil Defense Directorate advised citizens to stay away from the water level and avoid contact with conductive metal objects in order not to get electrocuted.
