Due to Cyclone Biparjoy, which is expected to hit Pakistan, 25,000 people have been evacuated to safe areas so far. Pakistan Meteorology Department reported that the wind speed is expected to reach 140-150 kilometers per hour and waves to get as large as 10 meters. Monsoon Rains Kill 17 in Pakistan

Monsoon rains have claimed 17 lives in Pakistan, with flash floods hitting Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces. In Swat, nine people drowned while trying to rescue children who fell into a river during a family picnic. Search operations are ongoing for four missing individuals. Eight more deaths were reported in Punjab due to roof collapses, lightning, and floods. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed sorrow over the tragedy.
