A passenger train collided with a stranded truck at a level crossing in West Semarang city, Indonesia. The truck driver escaped before the impact, and a passenger was injured while trying to exit the slowing train. Despite a significant explosion caused by the collision, there were no fatalities. The track is temporarily closed while an investigation is conducted, and the Indonesian Railways Company (KAI) is providing alternative transportation for affected passengers.

The Turkish search and rescue team GEA has rescued two people from the rubble in Myanmar’s capital, Naypyidaw, on the fifth day of the earthquakes. The team pulled a survivor from the collapsed Aye Chan Thar Hotel less than 24 hours after saving a 26-year-old hotel employee.
The 7.7 and 6.4 magnitude earthquakes on March 28 have left at least 2,886 dead, 4,639 injured, and 373 missing, according to local authorities. Search and rescue efforts continue.
