A woman was found dead in the town of Kamnik, and two other Dutch nationals were found dead in a mountainous region near the city of Kranj in Slovenia. The case in Kamnik was caused by flooding, but the deaths in the mountainous region near Kranj city may have been caused by lightning strikes, said Slovenian police. The Slovenian Environment Agency has raised its weather warning to the highest level.
The authorities called on citizens to stay at home in case of overflowing. Authorities also started evacuating thousands of people living on the banks of the Savinja River in the city of Celje.
