Dr. Yusuf El Akkad, Director of Gaza European Hospital, expressed deep sorrow during the funerals of children who perished in an Israeli attack on Khan Younis. He questioned the innocence of these children and the world’s response to the tragedies caused by the Israeli occupation. The attack, which occurred at night, claimed the lives of 10 people, including women and children, and left many others injured. The victims were transported to Gaza European Hospital. Dr. El Akkad’s emotional plea highlights the devastating impact of the conflict in Gaza.

At the NATO Summit in The Hague, Netherlands, allied leaders approved a final declaration pledging to allocate 5% of GDP to defense by 2035. The declaration reaffirmed commitment to NATO’s collective defense and included 3.5% for core military spending and 1.5% for infrastructure, civil preparedness, and resilience. Aid to Ukraine will count toward these figures.

The next summit will be hosted by Türkiye in 2026.
