A forest fire in Chile’s Valparaiso region claimed two lives and destroyed 20 homes. The fire, which started on Wednesday evening, prompted evacuations as the National Disaster Prevention and Response Service issued a red warning. Authorities discovered two fatalities in a house affected by the blaze. Chilean President Gabriel Boric confirmed the destruction of 20 houses due to the fire, which comes after a previous outbreak in February that resulted in 134 deaths and over 8,000 homes destroyed in the same area.
