A rubber boat carrying irregular immigrants capsized off the coast of the Eceabat district of Türkiye’s Çanakkale province, 8 miles from the shore. Twenty people, including 2 babies, lost their lives. Four others were rescued by coast guard teams.
Divers and helicopters continue searching for other casualties.
