Israel has carried out 5 attacks in the last 24 hours in the Gaza strip, which has been under attack for 237 days, said the Palestinian Ministry of Health. The ministry reported that 53 Palestinians were killed and 357 others were injured.
The Palestinian death toll increased to 36,224, while the number of injured has increased to 81,777, since the attacks began on October 7.
Pakistan’s army announced the downing of 25 Indian UAVs and accused India of targeting military installations with Israeli-made Harop drones. India, for the first time, confirmed it had struck Pakistani military sites, including an air defense system in Lahore.
Pakistani Information Minister Attaullah Tarar claimed Indian border posts in Kashmir were bombed, killing up to 50 Indian soldiers. Meanwhile, India’s Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said at least 100 “terrorists” were killed in strikes on Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.
Cross-border fire has intensified since India blamed Pakistan for the April 22 attack in Jammu and Kashmir that killed 26 civilians. Pakistan denies involvement and says Indian strikes have killed 31 civilians and injured 57. India reports 16 dead from Pakistani shelling.
