Şahinkaya Canyon, the second-largest water canyon in Türkiye and a major tourism destination in Samsun, attracted 75,000 visitors during the summer of 2024. Located 17 kilometers from Vezirköprü district, the 1,500-meter-long canyon is known for its stunning natural beauty, deep blue waters, and towering cliffs, with an average height of 350 meters.
Declared a tourism region in 2011, the canyon continues to see growing interest, especially on weekends. Visitors enjoy ship tours organized by the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, offering a unique perspective of the canyon’s breathtaking scenery. Additionally, the Canyon Cafe, run by the municipality, provides a relaxing spot for guests to take in the views while enjoying tea and coffee.
