Excavations Resume at Oylum Höyük in Southern Türkiye

Excavations at Oylum Höyük, a key archaeological site in Kilis, Türkiye, have resumed after a long break. The project, originally started in 1988, is now supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Gaziantep University, and the Kilis Governorship. The site, near the Syrian border, is crucial for understanding the region’s history. Current efforts aim to protect and promote the site, with plans to develop it into a tourism attraction to benefit the local economy.
