One Year of Israel’s Gaza Strikes: Over 41,000 Dead

One year has passed since Israel launched its attacks on the Gaza Strip on October 7, leading to a devastating toll on civilians and infrastructure. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, 41,909 Palestinians have been killed and 97,303 injured in the ongoing Israeli strikes, which have escalated in intensity. Millions of Palestinians have been displaced, and children have struggled to survive without access to education.

Israel’s attacks have targeted homes, residential areas, hospitals, schools, and even ambulances. The health sector has been hit particularly hard, with 65% of health institutions damaged and over 300 healthcare workers killed. Safe drinking water has become scarce, and disease outbreaks, including hepatitis and polio, have spread due to destroyed infrastructure. More than 2 million Palestinians lack access to basic health services, and 50,000 pregnant women are without maternity care.
