Ulaş Lake, located in the Ulaş district of Sivas province in Türkiye, where the water level has dropped significantly due to drought in recent years, hosted migrating flamingos, which formed a colorful landscape.
“They actually call it a salt lake. We used to come from Tecer Mountain to bring salt to our animals from here. This year was a drought and the lake dried up like this. After the water in the lake receded, not many bird species came. Flamingos wouldn’t come either; there were no birds other than the black maple,” said a local.
