As part of their “Great Prophet 19” exercise, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps held a civilian and military parade called “110,000 Jerusalem Travelers,” in which the Basij forces, a voluntary militia organization in the capital, and Jihad volunteers took part, in Tehran, the capital of Iran, with the participation of hundreds of thousands of people.

In the march, where the flags of Lebanon, Hamas, Palestine, Hezbollah and Hashd al-Shaabi were waved, soldiers dragged coffins decorated with US and Israeli flags on the ground, while people chanted anti-US and anti-Israeli slogans and carried dead baby dolls to draw attention to the deadly consequences of the war in Palestine.

“Today, our youth participating in this exercise are sending the message that the era of imperialist oppression and tyranny has ended in the world. Muslim youth will not remain silent in the face of the murders committed by the Zionist regime and the US in the region. The massacres of women, children and civilians in Gaza, the targeting of hospitals and healthcare workers, the bombing of educational institutions and schools in Gaza are a product of the West’s understanding of human rights and liberal democracy discourse. We are ready to completely cleanse the region from the occupying US and Zionists,” said Deputy General Coordinator of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, General Mohammad Reza Naqti, in his opening speech.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said the recent peace talks in Istanbul have brought a new dimension to diplomatic efforts on Ukraine and proposed a leaders’ summit hosted by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. “A summit with leaders from Russia, Ukraine, and the US could help achieve a long-term ceasefire,” he said.

Speaking at a joint press conference in Kyiv with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, Fidan emphasized Türkiye’s ongoing diplomatic efforts, stating that President Erdoğan has been working actively since the war began. He added that talks in Istanbul on May 16 led to concrete results, including a prisoner swap.

Fidan shared insights from his prior visit to Moscow and said Russia is open to further talks on June 2. He stressed the importance of continuing momentum and involving international actors to build common ground for peace.

Fidan is also scheduled to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Andriy Yermak, Rustem Umerov, and representatives of the Crimean Tatar and Gagauz Turkish communities.
