A mass wedding ceremony was held in Gaza’s Khan Younis, where 54 couples married among the rubble of Hamad Residential City as the ceasefire allows limited normalcy to return. The event was organized under the UAE’s humanitarian initiative Operation Gallant Knight 3, marking the UAE’s 54th Unity Day.
Hundreds attended the celebration, which featured traditional dancing. Ali Al Shehhi, head of the operation, said the wedding reflects the strong ties between the UAE and the Palestinian people, adding that Gaza “continues to prove that joy can emerge from ruin.”
