Only 25 pedestrians crossed the Rafah border crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt on Tuesday, according to an EU official, well below the daily limits set under the Israel–Hamas ceasefire. The official said those exiting Gaza included medical patients and accompanying family members.
Crossings resumed after the partial reopening of Rafah on Monday, but evacuations remain restricted and tightly controlled. The Palestinian Red Crescent said the planned third medical evacuation was suspended, while Israel’s military coordination body COGAT said the crossing opened as scheduled and blamed coordination issues.
