Gaza Artists Showcase War Trauma in Bureij Camp

Sixty-four Palestinian artists have transformed a confined space in the Bureij Refugee Camp into a powerful exhibition reflecting the devastating toll of the ongoing war in Gaza. Titled “What Remains of Survival,” the showcase features poignant works that capture the deep sorrow, resilience, and shattered dreams of a population enduring more than two years of conflict. Through vivid paintings of ash-covered hands and children clinging to fragile hopes amidst the rubble, local creators are sending a visual cry to the international community. Despite a previous ceasefire, the artists emphasize that their reality remains grim, as the civilian death toll has tragically surpassed 72,000 since the violence first began.
