The popular Turkish resort town of Bodrum has officially kicked off its summer tourist season by welcoming two prominent cruise ships, the Scarlet Lady and the Monet, for the very first time. The simultaneous arrival of the massive Bahamian-flagged Scarlet Lady and the boutique St. Vincent-flagged Monet brought a lively influx of over 2,600 international tourists to the coastal city. While the 277-meter Scarlet Lady carried a large group of predominantly American vacationers from Rhodes, the smaller Monet arrived from Kuşadası with an exclusive group of British passengers. Both vessels are scheduled to depart for the Greek islands later in the evening, marking a vibrant start to what is expected to be a bustling cruise season for the Aegean port.
