Seoul Overpass Collapse Leaves Three Dead

A tragic accident in Seoul, South Korea, has left three people dead and three others injured after a decades-old overpass partially collapsed during demolition work. The structural failure occurred Tuesday afternoon during a safety inspection, which was initiated after workers noticed the bridge sinking while cutting concrete slabs. While six of the 12 people on site managed to safely escape, heavy falling debris crushed the victims and spilled onto a nearby railway, forcing temporary suspensions of local train services. Demolition of the 335-meter-long structure, originally built in 1966, had been ongoing since last August and was scheduled for completion next month.
