ISIS Bombers Arrested in Syria

Syrian security forces have arrested the ISIS terrorists responsible for a double bombing in Damascus during French President Emmanuel Macron’s recent visit. The July 7 explosions near the Ministry of Tourism injured 18 people, including four police officers, but occurred outside Macron’s security zone and did not disrupt his official schedule. Following extensive video surveillance, counter-terrorism units captured the perpetrators during simultaneous raids on several safe houses across the capital region. Confirming the attackers’ ISIS ties, regional security commander Brigadier General Ahmed al-Dalati vowed to “strike with an iron fist against those who try to destabilize the country.” Authorities are now deepening their investigation to expose the wider terror network and its future plans.
