Turkish surgeon Dr. İlhan Karabıçak is using his time away from the operating room to capture stunning landscapes across Türkiye with professional filming equipment. Known to his social media followers as “the surgeon in nature,” he recently traveled to the high-altitude Seven Lakes region in Erzurum and discovered a surprising winter wonderland at the height of summer. “It’s the middle of July, and everything is covered in snow,” he marveled, noting his excitement at navigating the difficult, icy terrain to film the magnificent scenery. The dedicated doctor says he applies the exact same precision and care to documenting these remote natural environments as he does to his medical profession.
